The Hudson Valley Philharmonic, Randall Fleischer conductor, commissioned an original orchestral work. Performed 5 shows with rock legend Bruce Springsteen and the Max Weinberg 7; the sold-out holiday shows benefitted local Asbury Park, NJ charities and featured guest artists Elvis Costello, Nils Lofgren, Patti Scialfa, and Bruce Hornsby. Scored indie director/writer Laura Levine's new feature film "Digging for Dutch," a feature length documentary about the search for the infamous gangster Dutch Schultz's missing millions, supposedly buried deep in the Catskills. (Hokey Pictures, premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival 2001 and featured at the Endinburg Film Festival August 2002). This film received the New York City Film Project's Torchlight Award for Best Feature and is currently seeking nationwide release. Bio & Background: New York based keyboardist and composer Scott Healy is best known as keyboardist on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, now in its fourteenth season on NBC. His wide-ranging performing and recording, credits include many of the greats in rock, blues, R&B and jazz, including Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, Al Green, BB King, Taj Mahal, Phoebe Snow, Lisa Loeb, Sheryl Crow, Jackson Browne, Graham Parker, The Band, Donald Fagan, Branford Marsalis, Tony Bennett, Dweezil and Ahmed Zappa, Ruth Brown, Fontella Bass . He's also currenttly pursuing other projects including NYC supergroup The Coalition and the Scott Healy Tentet. His composing and arranging credits include the Portland Maine Symphony Orchestra, Aspen Contemporary Ensemble, Hudson Valley Philharmonic, Mel Lewis Orchestra, Ricky Martin, and Christina Aguiliera. He received "Distinguished Artist Award" from NJ State Council on the Arts, and numerous grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts. He scored the NYC Torchlight Award-winning film "Digging for Dutch" and has had other films shown at major festivals around the country. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Scott attended Eastman School of Music, graduating with a degree in Composition, studied with Samuel Adler, Joseph Schwantner, Warren Benson, and Ray Wright.
